Seeing how this topic is dead at the moment, i'd though a share a Minecraft screenshot.
A little while ago Valuta wanted me to make a sort of hillfort, based on the hillfort a made a before. However due to the world generator, it was rather hard getting a map with a similar landscape as the one before.

So, with the landscaping and basic outlines done i'm just waiting for Valuta to come back from the dead to upload this on the server.
As for ideas, i'm looking for decorative ones such as room designs and wall designs (Just cobble is too ugly).
If anyone else has any ideas about something functional, that would also be helpful. As a example of a functional idea, you may notice there are small holes in the entrance-walkway wall. These are filled with snowman to attract the attention of enemy mobs.

Edit: Added dispensers to the side of the wall, This way it shouldn't take 5 hours to kill a zombie.

Interesting, reminds me a bit of Cloud Ruler Temple from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

As for pictures, I'm staying over at my mother's friend's house, so I don't really have acces to my PC.

Isn't Cloud Ruler Temple that Fort on a mountian, surrounded by a thick wall with eastern/Japanese styled architecture? O.o

Yes, it is the fort on a mountain near Bruma. Your outer wall design and the grass on the top remind me of it.

I made the big tower in the middle, no wonder I like it. But I do see you made some neat additions to it.

Anyway, progress on the fort-thingy is being made.

Only the pathway and first building are done.
The interior of the building is filled with wood, wool and grass (With plants at some point) to give it a "softer", more cozy look inside.
Meanwhile the sections which are open are filled with a stone floor, to give a more "harder" look.

I was building a middle east styled castle this morning, but it got deleted......
